Welcome to REFORMA de Florida!
REFORMA de Florida (RdeFL) is the Florida Chapter of REFORMA, the National organization whose mission is to promote the library and information services to Latinos and the Spanish speaking in the State of Florida. REFORMA de Florida is a non-profit organization that supports the efforts of library professionals, paraprofessionals and community supporters, who develop, provide and advocate for, excellent library services in Latinx communities in Florida.
On our website you will find relevant information regarding services, resources, research, advocacy, scholarship, programs, news and events to support REFORMA de Florida’s mission to serve our Latino communities.
REFORMA de Florida welcomes your membership. Whether you are a seasoned librarian, or a graduate student pursuing your Master’s Degree in Library and Information Sciences; a retired library professional or a library supporter; a community activist or a library costumer, if you are interested in pursuing excellence in library services for Latinos in your community, you are a most welcome candidate as a member of REFORMA de Florida.
The success of REFORMA de Florida rests on its members’ base to continuously pursue excellence in library services by supporting each other professionally, networking, and sharing ideas for programs and services. The Board of Officers welcomes your initiatives and leadership to volunteer to serve on committees, and develop plans for the future. Volunteer to chair a committee on Youth Services, Teen Services, Readers’ Advisory, Collection Development, Advocacy, Fundraising, Strategic Planning!
